Automatic Connection
The automatic long-distance telephone connection is established by a direct dialing of the corresponding phone number. Its working zone covers all the Russian territory.
Pre-Ordered Connection
If, for some reason, you can not arrive to reach the needed destination automatically, the Rostelecom Switchboard Service will help you to contact any telephone number inside the Russian Federation, or to determine the cause of the connection failure.
The Rostelecom Switchboard Service is open round the clock, 7 days a week.
Connection of Two Subscribers
Upon a contact with a Rostelecom operator you may specify three phone numbers at once. Our high-skills operators can offer you a wide range of additional services:
connection at a pre-scheduled time;
connection to a specified person;
connection with notification;
information on a telephone number in other cities;
facsimile message transfer.
Connection at a Pre-Scheduled Time
In case you need to order a telephone connection for a definite moment or to postpone the conversation (when the called destination is busy or fails to answer) you can contact a Rostelecom operator who will ensure the connection to the needed destination in a distant city at the time you specify.

Connection to a Specified Person
A «Rostelecom» operator can be requested to organize a telephone connection not only to a given telephone number, but also to a specific person. You have to specify the name, position, address, or other information identifying the person you wish to contact. Two more telephone numbers can be specified in case the person you call is absent.
Connection with Notification
A Rostelecom operator can, upon your request, invite the person you wish to contact for a conversation by sending to the address you indicate a notification of the upcoming long-distance call.
Please note that once the notification has been transferred, any change of the specified address, person-s name or connection time is regarded as a separate order.
Information on the Telephone Number in Other Cities
A Rostelecom operator can inform you on private or corporate phone numbers with a subsequent connection to these numbers upon your request.
In order to get the phone number information you will have to communicate to the operator the name or address of the person you wish to contact, the company name, or other information needed for the number identification.
Facsimile Message
You can use the Rostelecom services to transfer your facsimile messages. If your message has not been able to pass through within a minute-s time, our operator will re-try to establish the connection up to three times.
